Interest and outcomes of alveolar distraction osteogenesis for dental implant rehabilitation following mandibular reconstruction

Introduction: Alveolar distraction osteogenesis (ADO) is one of vertical bone augmentation technique used to restore the discrepancy between transplanted graft and residual alveolar after mandibular reconstruction. The aim this article present clinical outcomes ADO applied reconstructed mandible for three patients. Observation: Three patients underwent procedure on mandibula by fibula free flap ( n = 2) or iliac crest 1). mean height increase was 11 mm. 16 implants have been placed in all patients, with a success rate 100% follow-up 25 months. Two complications occurred without compromising final outcome procedure: fracture basal bony interference, both during activation phase. Commentaries: can be performed height. An acceptable implant-to-crown ratio allows an optimal supported implant prosthesis. particular antecedent our lead uncommon such as fracture, but doesn't seem compromise placement good rate. Conclusions: appropriate dental rehabilitation, achieving esthetics occlusal outcomes.
